My Cloud Bursting Series is inspired by an activity I've done since I was a kid. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, lying in the long grass on a hot summer day looking up at the sky and envisioning things within the shapes of the clouds as they roll by revealing themselves. With this series I splat a single colour of paint randomly across a canvas and then let that sit until the image within the image reveals itself to me. I then start to fill the white area with black ink to present the image that I see within the shapes.
